- Specialist and seeking a consultant who is well versed in matters of strategy, leadership, Finance, HC, Operations &Technical, Sales & Marketing.
- In the context they will be Specialist who manage a portfolio of investee companies and they will need to assist them with the above expertise/ management consulting services

**Overview**:
A Senior Specialist Early-Stage Advisory Services within the Business Advisory & Turnaround Services Department reporting to Manager: Capability Advisory Services

**OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE**
- To provide advisory services, to clients depicting early warning signs of distress, that support limiting an increase in further distress; and where encountered, craft solutions and monitor implementation of interventions for these clients thereby restricting the number of clients that progress into turnaround and business rescue
- To support clients through providing management consulting services, specialist knowledge and expertise to help them operate better and become high-performance businesses.

**KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS**
- Provide advice and support to sector SBUs and Post Investment Segments in respect of their clients who are showing early signs of operational and/or financial stress.
- Conduct detailed business diagnosis focusing on business dimensions (Leadership, Strategy, Operations, Finance, Human Capital, Sales & Marketing) and document terms of reference that will inform the Value Creation Plan (VCP) for clients who would require management consulting services, training, support, mentorship and development.
- Provide advisory support to clients through knowledge provision, training, mentorship and coaching.
- Provide early-stage support to small, medium and large enterprises to collaboratively grow clients through assisting Segments in developing and implementing the VCP and its identified interventions.
- Provide management consulting services in the areas of leadership, governance, corporate and business unit strategy, functional management and turnaround strategies, sales and marketing, human capital, finance and operations (optimization, process re-engineering, operational efficiencies, productivity improvement).
- Implement business enabling systems and tools such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), financial and human capital systems, policies and processes to help formalize and professionalize clients’ businesses;
- Provide domain knowledge and expertise to support clients to realise profit and growth such as: Markets, Value chain insights, Manufacturing 4.0 and technologies.
- Stakeholder management and engagement to ensure alignment of roles and responsibilities and building up a repository of core knowledge and insights within the company in supporting the delivery of the value creation plan for clients. This is to ensure that a knowledge bank can be utilised by the company for future interventions;
- Safeguard the company’s Security position through maintaining and/or improving the recoverability of the company’s exposure;
- Provide domain knowledge, advice and expertise to support clients to realise profit and growth: Markets and Value Chain insights; Manufacturing 4.0 and technologies and business formalisation and stabilisation;
- Coach and mentor clients to build organisation capabilities such as: functional management skills; financial know-how; agile ways of working; strategic planning; marketing, corporate governance, etc;
- Conduct business diagnosis and deep-dive to identify areas of distress and improvement in the

client’s business;
- Draft and present submission reports to various decision-making committees;
- Provide pre
- and post-investment support through internal resources and if required obtain assistance from external resources;
- Review drafted legal agreements to ensure they capture the credit committee approval;
- Closely monitor the implementation of the strategy and plans through attending Steerco/ Manco; Interaction with key stakeholders; regular client visits; etc.
- Regularly update the Business Advisory & Turnaround monitoring platform (SAP) iro tracking progress against process and status update notes;
- Update IMC notes and attend the IMC sessions;
- Prepare memos and reports for IMC;
- Attend and contribute to the monthly Business Advisory & Turnaround Services meetings;
- Prepare and present regular monitoring submissions to Portfolio Monitoring Committee;
- Provide efficient service to both internal and external stakeholders/clients.
