Project Coordinator

**Main purpose of the job**:

- To coordinate the activities of the project according to good clinical laboratory practice, and standards and according to the sponsor requirements (study protocols)

**Location**:

- **WDIH - Braamfontein, Johannesburg**

**Key performance areas**:

- Assist project management team with study setup and coordination of predefined deliverables
- Assist with study setup following the relevant internal processes and quality control procedures
- Arrange and attend meetings and provide feedback where relevant
- Generate and circulate minutes from internal and external meetings. Follow up on action items
- Support stakeholder management activities and tracking of customer complaints
- Data entry, update and maintain multiple databases (both internal and external platforms)
- Resolve all queries and discrepancies from sites and external laboratories within prescribed timelines
- Copying, scanning, printing, and filing
- Prepare documents for archiving
- Coordinate sample shipments and referrals to external laboratories
- Training external and internal stakeholders on CLS processes
- Allocated activities to be undertaken, ensuring that these tasks are completed as stipulated and within specified periods

**Required minimum education and training**:

- **Medical Technician/BSc Medical Science Degree/equivalent experience**

**Required minimum work experience**:

- **3 years experience in a Laboratory environment**

**Professional Body Registration**:

- HPCSA is advantageous but not essential

**Desirable additional education, work experience, and personal abilities**:

- Previous Project Coordination of clinical trials or previous experience with a Clinical Research Organisation
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and data management skills
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision and as well as in a team
- Organized and able to prioritize tasks
- Attention to detail is essential
- Must be Adaptable and reliable
- Certification in good clinical Laboratory Practice (GCLP)
- Ability to operate in a pressurized environment
