Customs/ Border Specialist

Experience and Skills:

- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Customs administration.
- Practical experience in planning, managing and implementing border management interventions to facilitate the flow of goods and people at international borders.
- Must be fluent in English or Portuguese.
- Contemporary knowledge of Customs reform/modernization in southern Africa and a broad understanding of international and regional development in Customs, including international standards and guidelines in Customs sector (WTO, WCO etc.). COVID-19 programming is an added advantage.
- Proven capacity to translate complex Customs/Border information for non-technical professional, traveler and community users is an advantage.
- Good technical, analytical, report and technical writing skills is required.

Competencies
- Proficient in written and oral Portuguese or English communication skills, with analytic capacity, and report writing skills.
- Well-grounded in the methods and procedures involved in approaches and safe strategies, and measures to facilitate cross border movement of drivers, crew and passengers at international borders.

**Job Type**: Temporary
Contract length: 4 months

**Salary**: Up to R136,510.00 per month
