Inside Sales Specialist

**What you will do**
Inside Sales Specialist (ISS) is the key role reporting to Sales Manager. The Inside Sales Specialist will be based in Johannesburg and support the Africa customers by identifying the requirements from Field Operations, directly interacting with customers, and offering standard and specific solutions and services. This in order to retain customers and maximize opportunities and their success ratio.
The ISS collaborates with Outside Sales, Field Operations, Customer representatives, and technical services resources to ensure proposals include technical solutions that accurately address customer needs, adhering to JCI’s standards and specifications.
**How you will do it**
As an ISS, you will be the key point of contact for clients for answering queries.
You will handle HVAC Core (Service) system inquiries, follow up with the customers, build and maintain good relationships through Wholesale Distributors at all levels, and coordinate new and repeat sales to ensure 100% customer satisfaction and account retention.
Key aspects of the Inside Sales - Renewal and Labor & Material role are:
- Create proposal through SFDC
- Partner with local area team for
- Onsite asset counts/site details
- Review and understand the job cards for labor and material jobs
- Guidance on pricing
- Upsell opportunities
- Review for proposal prior to customer submission
- Meets customer needs
- Lead to proposal time needs to be measured and enhanced
- Review & approval of Order Receipt
- Review terms and condition is as per JCI standards
- Review Terms of Payment is as per JCI Standard
- Send Order Acknowledgement
- Meets internal approval process guidelines (DOA)
- End to End tracking from Lead identification to booking in ERP
- Outbound calling for follow up
- Capture & update all actions in SFDC
- Weekly call blitzes and follow up on submitted proposals
- Review contract performance
- You will maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational training.
- You will contribute to sales effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; implementing directives.
**What we look for**
**Required**
- 3 Years minimum experience in sales/estimation in HVAC and Building Technology Industry
- Track record of over-achieving goals
- Demonstrated ability to influence account decision makers at key levels
- Strong phone presence and experience dialing dozens of calls per day
- Experience working with a CRM database
- Ability to rapidly build knowledge of Johnson Control’s product lines
**Preferred**
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or equivalent
- IT degree or certificate
