Our Marketing Department is in search of two PR Officers to be the brand custodian for either Old Khaki and Poetry or Cape Union Mart and K-Way, by creating and maintaining the brand’s public image by handling all internal and external communication with stakeholders, suppliers and media. This role is responsible for creating, managing and executing a PR strategy aligned to our strategic marketing objectives. To influence the public perception of the business through marketing initiatives, activations and content creation. To attract, inform and retain the customer through an enhanced customer experience. To influence the customers brand experience and perception of the brand in the market through market awareness.

**Role Responsibilities**
- Develop & implement the overall PR & events strategy that supports the overall brand objectives including budgeting and timings.
- Educate the consumer, media and influencers on seasonal launches, new products, key focuses and initiatives.
- Support and enhance the quarterly brand and product strategy.
- Brand collaborations - liaise, propose, implement and negotiate with potential brand collaboration partners for the brands (3rd party and other brands).
- Guiding and managing the external PR suppliers and agency.
- Sourcing, securing and implementing strategic digital opportunities - giveaways, IG lives, IGTV, IG takeovers.
- Event conceptualising and management (concept and execution).
- Conceptualising, management and implementation of customer activations and events within stores or online/virtual.
- Media and influencer event strategy, planning and implementation.
- Liaison and relationship management with internal stakeholders and managing PR expectations (e.g., General managers, Creative directors, Operations, Merch etc.)
- Liaison and relationship management with the media and influencers.
- Strategic gifting and press drop management and implementation.
- Developing and implementing an influencer marketing strategy for each brand.
- Press release writing and coordination.
- Compile and manage PR monthly reporting.
- Define KPI’s/success metrics per PR project.
- Handle and source trade exchange opportunities.
- Compile and manage PR annual and monthly calendar.
- Support new store openings through activations and PR elements.
- Monthly budget reporting and management.
- Evaluate and manage value adding sponsorships.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- A relevant tertiary qualification (diploma or degree) in Public Relations or Marketing (completed studies)
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in the PR Retail Industry
- Computer literacy (Intermediate MS Excel, Power point, and Word)
- Drivers’ licence and own car required
