One of South Africa's Banking Giants is looking for a Manager: Decision Science to ensure the objectives, plans, processes, and standards within Client Experience Delivery teams
_ _function align with those of Credit Decision Science and Credit Management as a whole.

**Key Performance Areas**:

- Provide expert input to underpin strategic and effective credit decision management
- Delivery of data and analytics to support the operational management of the Credit function
- Relationship and stakeholder management to facilitate, drive and deliver effective credit decision support
- People Management
- Reporting

**Job Requirements**:
**Qualifications**:
**Minimum**:

- Honours Degree in Data Science / Informatics / Analytics / Risk Management (i.e., B. Comm (Statistics), B. Informatics)

**Ideal**:

- Masters Degree in Data Science / Informatics / Analytics / Risk Management (i.e., B. Comm (Statistics), B. Informatics)

**Knowledge & Experience**:
**Minimum Knowledge**:

- Analytics
- Project management methodologies
- IT implementation cycle
- Credit cycle
- Technical understanding and knowledge of different operating systems / databases / programming languages
- General business acumen to identify the impact technical issues may have on design and delivery of solutions.
- Best practices and tools in credit risk
- Interpretation of user requirements and translation into business requirements specifications
- Retail credit environment / industry
- Confidentiality and intellectual property implications and constraints
- Interpretation of user requirements
- Translation of business requirements into business requirement specifications
- HR Management policy and procedure
- People management skills and techniques

**Minimum Experience**:

- Minimum 5 years credit risk analytics environment experience
- Minimum 2 years management experience including.
- People management
- Project management experience
- Extraction and aggregation of data from large relational databases
- Data science and predictive modelling

**Ideal**:
**Experience**:

- 5+ years’ credit risk analytics environment experience
- Credit Retail
- Relationship and stakeholder management
- Machine learning.
