**RN - Theatre Scrub**

Our client, a private hospital group is looking for a RN - Theatre Scrub to do ongoing locums at their hospitals in the Durban area.

**Qualification & Requirements;**
- Degree/Diploma in Nursing Science;
- A qualification in Operating Theatre;
- Registration with South African Nursing Council (SANC);
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in theatre scrub;
- Excellent communication skills; and
- Be willing to work shifts

**Key Areas**
- Prepare the operating area by laying out the necessary instruments and equipment;
- Handle instruments, assist surgeon with procedures, and monitor the patient throughout the operation;
- Preparing the patient for the move to the recovery room;
- Complete any necessary documentation regarding the surgery;
- Communication with patients and families;
- Give health assessments;
- Provide emergency care;
- Teach other nurses and Students;
- Provide postoperative care;
- Report patients' status to doctors and surgeons;
- Keep records of medical histories and performing diagnostics; and
- Perform other position related duties.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Temporary, Temp to perm

- Durban, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
