**Ad Hoc Musicians (Cape Town)**

**Type**: Freelance/Part-Time

Our performances span classical, jazz, contemporary, and popular music, with a commitment to artistic excellence and innovation. We are looking to expand our roster of talented musicians for various upcoming productions.

**Position Overview**: We are seeking skilled and versatile musicians based in Cape Town to join our team on an ad hoc basis. Whether you are a seasoned professional or a passionate up-and-comer, we invite you to apply. This is an excellent opportunity to collaborate with a vibrant community of artists, perform in unique venues, and participate in a variety of exciting musical projects.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Perform in concerts and events as required.
- Rehearse and collaborate with other musicians and artists.
- Bring creativity, enthusiasm, and professionalism to each performance.
- Adapt to different musical styles and genres as per project requirements.

**Requirements**:

- Proficiency in your instrument(s) with strong technical skills.
- Ability to read music and/or improvise as needed.
- Experience in performing live in various settings.
- Flexibility to commit to rehearsals and performances on short notice.
- Based in Cape Town with own reliable transport.
- Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team.
- **If you are employed on a full time basis already, you will need to have at least 8 free hours available per week, in the evenings and over weekends.**

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Formal music education (diploma/degree) is an advantage.
- Experience in multiple genres (classical, jazz, pop, etc.).
- Previous ensemble or orchestral experience.
