- Takes the lead in growth strategy and business planning at all levels (financial, operations, partnership)
- Plans, builds, manages yearly budget and business plans in cooperation with company directors
- Reviews monthly business reports and takes corrective measures where necessary
- Timely plans and sets work tasks for subordinates; evaluates and manages their business performance and productivity accordingly;
- Provides guidance and coaching to relevant staff members in the direction of reaching business objectives and developing professional competencies
- Timely informs subordinates and reports to superiors on all relevant business topic - develops and promotes a climate for sharing information and opinions
- Maintains quality service by establishing, managing and improving organization standards, policies and processes
- Implements and oversees compliance to internal company guides and policies (e.g., code of conduct, guide on professional communication, etc.)
- Fosters a positive company culture and enforces best ethical business practices
- Builds and manages company image by collaborating with strategic customers, partners, vendors, government, community organizations, and other stakeholders
- Has a solid understanding of the consumer market and competitors, monitors business trends, nurtures strategic partnerships with key customers and partners
- Carries out other reasonable duties as may be required by the Functional and Line managers

experience, qualifications and skills
- 5+ years’ experience in leadership roles (CEO, COO, SD) with a proven track record of success, preferably within the IT Consumer field (distribution, system integrators, vendors)
- Strong business acumen; solid knowledge of business processes and functions (finance, administration, sales, operations)
- Existing relationships in the South African consumer/retail environment
- Strong experience in successful people management, on an individual basis and in a team environment

Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to present, engage, connect, and build consensus across a broad range of audience
