- Motivate and energise the organisation as well as embed a service delivery culture while overseeing all day-to-day business operations, coordinating the efforts of the management and work with them and the Board of Directors to develop current and long-term objectives, policies, and procedures for the company.
- Be a CEO that leads by example whilst partnering with the team to get things done.
- It would be to your advantage if you have a good understanding of how distance learning colleges work, and have deep knowledge of the DHET, the QCTO, CHE and Umalusi.
- Have strong interpersonal skills with high EQ, able to read between the lines, motivate and inspire people, sense and head off relational conflict at an early stage.

- Can easily adapt in a fast paced environment and remain flexible in the face of change.

- Be a gifted strategist, bringing clarity across the organisation by defining and measuring clear objectives.

A postgraduate qualification which would be to your advantage, but it is not a requirement.
A minimum of 4 years experience running a medium sized organisation.
Stakeholder relationship management with excellent communication ability.
Strategic thinking skills, Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Experience working within the education sector would be to your advantage.
Experience and knowledge of the Financial management component of a company.
Board-level reporting and analysis.
