**Minimum requirements for the role**:

- CRMA or equivalent would be advantageous, but is not essential.
- Previous auditing experience, preferably within a complex manufacturing environment or related industry is essential.
- Computer literacy is essential with good working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
- Must have a comprehensive understanding of internal audit standards and procedures.
- Previous experience in coding (e.g. SQL) and IT auditing would be highly advantageous.
- Must have strong communication, organisational, and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Must be able to work well independently and in teams and adapt and think on their feet in a fast-changing environment.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Supporting the delivery and maintenance of a Group wide risk-based internal audit plan by working closely with all levels of staff.
- Participating in the Group internal audit function by supporting the Senior Internal Auditors in the delivery of internal audit outcomes (planning, execution, and reporting phases).
- Working closely with the Senior Auditors to increase levels of reliance on internal audit work by external audit.
- Assisting in the maintenance of the internal audit risk register, being proactive in identifying new risks applicable to the Company.
- Working closely with the various stakeholders to manage all internal and external deliverables on a timely basis.
- Travelling to various companies on a national basis when required to do so.
- Performing ad hoc audit projects responding to emerging risks and management requests.
- Planning and executing engagements in accordance with required standards.
- Evaluating and advising on adequacy and effectiveness of controls, enterprise risk management and governance processes to ensure alignment with Company objectives.
- Reporting to Management on findings and possible remediation, whilst ensuring operational efficiencies and risk mitigation.
- Providing independent objective assurance and consulting services to the Group, ensuring quality and continuous improvement of the control environment and processes.
- Performing and controlling the full audit cycle, including risk management and control management over operations effectiveness, financial reliability and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations.
- Acting as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality and goal achievement.
