**Purpose of the role**

Responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical services in order to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations within the finance department. This role focuses mainly on the maintenance and control of accounts receivable.

**Duties**

Reporting and reconciliations
- Reconcile accounts receivable and sub-ledgers

(CRM to General Ledger)
- Daily/Monthly reconciliation all account customers

Debtors function
- Prepare invoices, credit notes and statements for debtors
- Maintain customer portals
- Allocate receipts and master account loads
- Follow appropriate policies and procedures with regards to processing credit notes and ensure funds are accurately deducted from the master account. These deductions must be approved by the line manager
- Investigate and resolve customer queries in respect of duplicate invoices, outstanding payments, etc. Escalate to line manager as necessary
- Maintain effective aging of debtors and implement procedures to collect payments
- Communicate timeously with the sales department to discuss matters regarding payments of accounts, invoices or credit notes sent, etc.
- Allocation and receipting of deposits

Accounting systems
- Manage accounts receivable cases on CRM
- Manage customer master data

General
- To act as a back up for Accounts Payable and Treasury

**Experience**
- 5+ years’ experience in accounts receivable or general accounting
