We have a vacancy for an energetic individual with strong electronics, board level troubleshooting and repairs skills. The board level repair technician should be ready to work in a fast-paced environment, strive to give good quality end products, have a positive and confident attitude. The incumbent should possess good working knowledge on information technology assets.
The incumbent will be reporting directly to the Managing Director and actively liaise with other functional departments within the company.
1. Operations
**Fault Finding**:
Perform troubleshooting to find fault and process equipment for board level repairs.
Read and understand schematic diagrams.
Diagnose faulty and replace surface level components.
**Maintenance**:
Ensure all board level tools, machinery and equipment is in good working order and complete necessary checklists.
**Order components (Assist)**:
Maintain minimum quantities (100) of components required to complete board level repairs.
2. Administration
**Reporting**:
Ensure repairs spreadsheet is updated daily.
3. Communication
**Communication**:
Inform line manager of constraints and challenges within workstation.
**Experience**:
Three years’ proven experience as a Board Level/ Electronic Repair Technician

**Qualifications**:
Matric (Grade 12)
Diploma in electronics engineering and A+
**Other**:
Have a strong understanding of electronic circuit boards
Computer Literate (Ms Office)
Good knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
Certificate of Fitness - Fit for duty
