Pool Technician

**Pool Technician Responsibilities**:

- Driving the company vehicle to customer’s location.
- Maintaining equipment and chemical stock levels at store and in the vehicle.
- Testing swimming pool water pH, alkalinity and chlorine levels.
- Adding acid, chlorine, and other chemicals to correct pH level.
- Cleaning swimming pool using authorized equipment.
- Replacing globes in underwater light fittings.
- Fitting and repairing pipes and plumbing for spas and pools.
- Fitting of pumps and changing of sand and cleaning filters.
- Servicing and fixing faulty pool cleaning equipment.
- Completing paperwork and reporting service requirements to management.

**Pool Technician Requirements**:

- Matric certificate.
- Driver’s license (Essential)
- Previous experience as a pool technician.
- Ability to interface and interact with customers in a professional manner
- Knowledge of proper pool cleaning and maintenance methods.
- Extensive knowledge of swimming pool chemicals and their properties.
- Knowledge of plumbing, painting, pump fittings and equipment repairs.
- Knowledge of electrical for swimming pools an advantage.
- Ability to fiberglass and marbelite pools an advantage.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in sometimes harsh weather conditions.
- Professional appearance.

Pay: R6 000,00 - R8 000,00 per month

**Education**:

- High School (matric) (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Pool Technician : 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- Afrikaans, English (preferred)

License/Certification:

- License Code 8 (required)
