Atlas Fire Security requires Pipe Fitters for their Mechanical Division

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- To assist the Team, as per the Job Scope, for the setting out, manufacturing and installation of systems as assigned to a Piping Team by the Project Owner, on-site or in the Workshop.
- To be part of a larger team on small, medium and large sites
- To assist with the preparation, installation and maintenance of the piping division.
- To gain experience and knowledge through practical on-site training from their technician(s).
- To look after and take responsibility, along with their technician(s) all vehicles, tools and equipment assigned to their team
- May be required to be the driver for the team.
- Collection of materials from suppliers, clients or any other party as instructed by Management.
- To observe and follow the Company’s Health & Safety Policy
- Determine and identify different types and schedules of piping correctly
- Determine and identify different types of fittings correctly

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

- Grade 10 (Standard 8) with Maths literacy or equivalent NQF Level 1 at a Technical college
- Ability to measure accurately.
- Driver’s Licence Advantageous
- Elementary skill and experience in using hand and power tools well (drills, grinders, pipe benders, thread cutting machine etc.)
- Must have been employed in the formal job market for a period of at least one to two years.
