Joinery Fitter

Kitchen Fitters are tasked with several important duties throughout the installation or renovation process of Kitchens & Built In Bedroom Cupboards. Initially, they must accurately measure and plan the kitchen & Bedroom cupboard layout, considering the placement of cabinets, appliances, and countertops. Following this, the main responsibilities include:

- Removing old cabinetry, appliances, and fixtures.
- Adjusting and preparing surfaces for new installations.
- Assembling and installing new cabinets, Bedroom Cupboards and kitchen appliances.
- Ensuring all installations are secure, level, and meet customer and industry standards.
- Performing modifications such as cutting, trimming, and altering parts to better fit the designated spaces.
- Coordinating with electricians, plumbers, and other tradespeople to ensure proper placement and functionality of electrical sockets, piping, and wiring.
- Conducting final inspections and adjustments for optimal operation and appearance.

Education and Certification

Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Profound knowledge of construction tools, equipment, and materials.
- Strong understanding of building and fire codes, as well as safety standards.
- Excellent ability to read blueprints and floor plans.
- Demonstrated precision in measuring and carpentry skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers and other tradespeople.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in unforeseen situations.
- Physical stamina and the ability to handle heavy materials and equipment.
