**Responsibilities**:

- Overseeing operation: Air Import and Export / Sea Import and Export / Express Import and Export
- Implementation of systems in the shipping division
- Regular meetings with agents to ensure that air-/shipping line and destination agents’ services meet their needs
- Addressing day-to-day queries
- Negotiating rates
- Compiling of quotations for cost comparison purposes between various agents
- Loading new orders on ACCPAC (not a must)
- Negotiating lead time with suppliers
- Extensive liaising with overseas agent in expediting cargo / uplifting goods / booking of containers and meeting sailing dates
- The planning of airfreight pallets of their high-end equipment to utilize pallet/s and move cargo the most cost effective way
- Updating systems on arrival for sales purposes
- Collating and forwarding correctly completed documentation to destination agents to ensure prompt clearance of consignment and avoiding storage cost
- Attending to custom / NRCS stops, if relevant and arranging release / inspection
- Ensure that their products ordered complies with the NRCS
- Ensure that the company complies with customs regulation
- Ensure correct tariff headings are being used and compiling a tariff library
- Customs audit
- Understanding purpose codes / refund of duties
- Facilitating a temporary export and understand the process
- Receipt of stock in their systems
- Understanding Sea / Air / Express rates
- Calculating landed cost and freight percentage per shipment to ensure that shipping cost stay in line
- Analyze all documentation such as invoices, bill of ladings and other freight documentation
- Checking Invoices, querying discrepancies and signing off of invoices received from agents

**Requirements**:

- Matric
- Relevant tertiary education would be advantageous
