**Job Purpose**
- To provide strategic thought leadership to the Cluster by providing management information for the development and execution of strategy, managing strategic projects and providing a risk management function to achieve Nedbank's strategic goals**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure alignment and achievement of Nedbank strategy and create a competitive advantage by translating the Nedbank strategy into Cluster strategy implications.
- Develop and introduce a Cluster strategy that will create a culture that drives the Cluster and Nedbank's vision and values.
- Facilitate cluster strategic planning by setting clear objectives for gathering Cluster Exco views and priorities for 3 year cycle.
- Ensure implementation and execution of Cluster strategy by analysing and tracking key performance indicators against forecasted results.
- Plan and implement effective ways to cascade and communicate the cluster strategy and strategic initiatives within the Cluster.
- Provide relevant business intelligence to the Cluster through proactive sourcing, analysing and interpretation of data.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders through regular engagement and knowledge sharing.
- Build relationships with internal stakeholders by identifying and responding to their business and communication needs.
- Build synergy across business functions through collaboration.
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders through participation in industry bodies, Nedbank committees and forums.
- Monitor achievement of Cluster goals by tracking performance and ensuring corrective action is taken as required.
- Prepare and maintain cluster executive reports, ensuring they cover all required deliverables.
- Champion the execution of strategic projects in the Cluster through programme management.
- Improve policies and procedures by reviewing and making recommendations for improvement.
- Manage risk by providing input to policy and procedure formulation, issuing guidelines, participating in interpretation of legislation and proactively managing changes on an on-going basis.
- Identify key areas for strategic improvement by keeping abreast of industry best practices and research.
- Identify and reduce potential risk for Nedbank Group by providing strategic advice and solutions.
- Support the achievement of the business strategy, objectives and values and ensure that delivered systems, process, services and solutions are aligned.
- Stay abreast in field of expertise and deliver on the expectations from stakeholders by building capability of self and team through identifying current and future training and development needs.
- Embed the Nedbank values by role-modelling the required behaviour and embodying the values.
- Manage performance of direct reports by ensuring a clear vision, agreeing on goals and objectives, providing regular feedback on performance, mentoring, coaching, recognising and rewarding achievement and take appropriate corrective action where required.
- Optimise employee performance and motivation by fostering a climate and culture conducive to a great place to work.
- Ensure the achievement of targets by monitoring implemented Divisional EE and Transformation Plan through consultation with HR.
- Analyse deviations from Divisional EE and Transformation Plan and ensure recommended corrective action is appropriate and implemented.
- Develop and implement a strategy to build a differentiated culture of improvement and innovation by analysing relevant surveys and information.
- Enable cluster business transformation by leading change management involving systems, processes and people.

**Essential Qualifications - NQF Level**
- Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
