Procurement Officer

The Procurement Officer will be responsible for procurement of all raw materials for Chateau Gateaux. The purpose of t he role is to efficiently plan and coordinate the on-time supply of raw materials to satisfy the completion of production orders on time and in full. The objective of the Procurement Officer position is to provide an efficient and effective procurement service by obtaining competitive prices from suppliers, delivering the most value while fulfilling business requirements. The Procurement Officer will be responsible to have a strong focus on the improvement of the raw material procurement process with optimal saving initiatives for both the factory and overall business.
- Lead the procurement of all raw materials as operational inventory
- Managing of company raw material spend
- Monitor in-house inventory movement to determine and accurately manage raw material stock levels to best optimise cash flow and ensure working capital objectives and strategy are delivered.
- Analysis of Data to better understand and expose opportunities in the business to optimise cost.
- Management of short shelf life raw materials in order to eliminate business waste risk.
- Develop, maintain, implement & ensure adherence to procurement policies & procedures.
- Conduct research to source & identify new suppliers for both new and existing materials.
- Maintain strong operational working relationship with strategic suppliers to ensure cost, quality and delivery targets are met.
- Ensure that interactions with suppliers & potential suppliers are compliant with procurement policies, procedures & best practices
- Negotiation and contract Management including supplier relationship management - Negotiate favourable terms, pricing and delivery schedules with existing and new suppliers
- Collect, analyse & summarise purchasing data & trends
- Finding Opportunities on Cost Saving through various parts of the business related to procurement
- Negotiating with external vendors/suppliers to secure advantageous terms
- Monitor and update relevant departments on price increases and fluctuations and Manage this closely considering new world scenarios

**Preferred Experience**:

- Degree in Supply Chain, Procurement or Similar.
- Proficient in Excel and other computer software’s (SAGE is pefererable).
- Proficient in ERP systems particularly in Procurement modules.
- +3 years’ relevant experience in procurement, purchasing or relevant environment (FMCG environment is advantageous)
- Working Knowledge of acceptable business practices & accounting principles
- Detailed orientated - You must constantly strive to maintain accuracy with the information you collect and process. Great attention to detail
- Exceptional interpersonal skills - You must be able to communicate and coordinate with various people across the organization and external suppliers. You must possess good communication, problem solving and organizational skills.

- Communication - Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers - Good financial & business acumen
- Organized - Maintaining a culture of organization particularly to ensure the P2P process in followed
