Currently we are searching for a Procurement officer for Durban, South Africa.

**Responsibilities of this Post**:
Assist with following up and expediting purchase orders and service requests to minimize negative impact on costs and operations.
Process purchasing transactions according to the relevant processes and procedures.
Ensure relevant supplier documentation is in file for compliance and audit purposes.
Assist with receiving goods into stores, issuing goods from stores and carrying out stock takes as necessary.
Liaise with suppliers and internal customers to resolve deviations and non-conformances (e.g. late deliveries, service acceptances and invoice variances).
Research and follow up on missing items, payment problems and other issues.
Work with accounting, inventory and management teams to meet goals.
Assist with resolution of creditors queries to ensure timeous payment of suppliers.

**Requirements of this Post**:
A tertiary qualification in procurement, stores or stock management or related function is essential.
Four to five years experience in procurement field.
Accurate with good attention to detail.
Strong numeracy and administration skills.
Able to solve problems and implement solutions to deliver positive business outcomes.
Good communication skill.
Systematic, controlled and organised.
