Our client in the Technology industry is looking a Logistics Team Leader to join their team.

Assistance to the Logistics Manager which includes hands-on management of demand planning, stock control, storage planning, procurement, distribution, supplier relationships and team performance.
- Responsible for drafting and updating process documentation.
- Develop new strategies to streamline processes and reduce cost.
- Train and instil adherence to processes within the XLink team and 3rd party suppliers and customers.
- Initiate and contribute to business improvement initiatives and develop new or improved operating procedures as required.
- Researching ideal shipping techniques, routing, and carriers
- Working with other departments to incorporate logistics with company procedures and operations.
- Evaluating budgets and expenditures
- Updating and evaluating metrics to assess performance and implement enhancements.
- Ensuring all operations adhere to laws, guidelines, and ISO requirements
- Develop effective working relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers and maintain these through regular communication, meetings, events etc.
- Prepare agendas and minute meetings. Drive action points to conclusion
- Selecting suppliers and negotiating contracts and rates
- Manage supplier costs and look for ways to improve cost efficiencies.
- Annual supplier review to ensure continued best practice including technology updates, price negotiations etc

**You need to have**:

- A logistics diploma/Degree
- 3 years experience in a leadership role in logistics
- Clear criminal

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary
Contract length: 6 months

**Salary**: R30,000.00 - R40,000.00 per month

- Johannesburg, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
