Your mission is to co ordinate and execute the receiving, storing and dispatching of products and to execute the administrative functions associated with these tasks in an effective and efficient manner while maintaining food safety policies, FEFO or FIFO and the quality assessment of products upon receipt, storage and dispatch.
- Co-ordinate the receiving and dispatching of products and ensure the efficient handling of products thereby reducing damages with the drivers, checkers and general workers.
- Account for all products, stock and any items received, issued and stored.
- Coordinate the orderly stacking, storing and safekeeping of products.
- Allocate and Supervise the picking and staging of packaging to production and outbound external storage and others, and ensure that the highest possible levels of productivity is maintained.
- Manage the receiving, storing, housekeeping and dispatching operations of the storage facilities in order to achieve the prescribed objectives.
- Handle and resolve queries and complaints.
- Continually maintain a professional and courteous relationship with fellow staff, suppliers and customers.
- Ensure that you fulfil your Logistics/storage/receiving/dispatch/stock management responsibilities in the best interests of the company at all times without compromising standards or ethical requirements.
- Ensure proper stock rotation of products under your care.
- Communicate and Escalate if products in your custody are nearing best before dates.
- Conduct a quality check of packaging upon receipt and ensure that these packaging received are of the correct specification and booked in accordingly. In this regard continuously liaise with the Admin team, quality team, Procurement team and to the production team.
- Ensure pallets/products received are identified and labelled correctly and stored in the exact specified bin location.
- Ensure that receiving clerks’ signs for all receipts and ensure that all documentation received is in order and thereafter forwarded it to the respective responsible people, in a timeous manner. (Procurement, Finance, Quality, Production and others)
- Verify all paperwork with drivers/procurement and ensure that all products are properly counted and accounted for.
- Ensure that all inbound (received) and outbound (dispatched) products are accurate and correspond with the relevant paperwork and are free of damage.
- Ensure the optimal utilisation of space. (Bin Locations, Staging Areas and Airlock)
- Participate and assist in conducting physical inventory count in a regular and consistent manner.
- Participate in establishing work schedules, shift rosters etc, in regards to the forklift drivers, general workers and checkers.
- Ensure that the schedules are correctly implemented and that jobs are assigned effectively and completed properly.
- Assist in maintaining the security of the facilities under you care.
- Conduct all operations in a manner that promotes safety and according to OSHA and MSDS standards.
- Ensure that products can be located effectively and update and maintain the product locator system. (WMS and others)
- Any other reasonable and lawful tasks, functions, orders and instructions issued to you.

**Warehouse Experience is non-negotiable.**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: R12,000.00 - R15,000.00 per month
