Job Description
To manage the design and deployment of strategic marketing and communication activities for the Business Unit to drive growth and enable financial performance, market share through a competitive positioning.
- Partner with Marketing specialists to define communication strategies, processes and templates for the business segment to ensure the integration and consistency of messaging through appropriate media and communications channels (internal and external)
- Work with Marketing specialists and Business stakeholders to manage marketing projects that cut across functional areas and disciplines within the Business Segment
- Translate business and RMB marketing strategies into an integrated and dynamic operational marketing and communications plan and calendar for the Business Segment.
- Assess the effectiveness of marketing strategies/ tactics for the Business Segment by measuring changes in stakeholder satisfaction, brand health and sentiment, client engagement and financial metrics
- Work with the business to develop, plan and manage short
- to medium-term marketing budgets taking into account business, budget priorities and constraints
- Influence Client Value Proposition strategies for the BU and keep track of client preferences for strategic advantage
- Assess the effectiveness of marketing strategies and tactics for the BU by measuring changes in stakeholder satisfaction, brand health and sentiment, client engagement and financial metrics
- Partner with BT and Business stakeholders to create integrated roadmaps to enable business requirements delivery
- Partner with Marketing specialists to define communication strategies, processes and templates for the BU to ensure the integration and consistency of messaging through appropriate media and communications channels, both internal and external
- Work with Marketing specialists and Business stakeholders to manage marketing projects that cut across functional areas and disciplines within the Business Unit
- Assess and critically evaluate environmental impacts and opportunities on the implementation of strategic marketing and communication goals for the relevant Business Unit
- Adapt strategic operational plans to maintain relevance with the evolving macro-environment context
- Translate business and marketing strategies into integrated and dynamic operational marketing and communications plan and calendar for the Business Segment
- Understand the complete range of product and service offerings provided by the BU; understand critical product differentiators as well as key revenue generators
- Work with Marketing specialists and third party agencies to develop and deliver multi-channel promotion strategies and tactics for the Business area
- Leverage and optimise alternate channels to ensure effective and efficient market penetration in line with strategic business objectives ie. social and digital platforms
- branding principles and brand management practices to create and leverage brand appeal and to optimise business performance
- Adapt and implement best practices and standards of excellence to achieve best practice positioning and relevant marketing solutions
- Demonstrate pride in the organisations brand services and products by consistently delivering on the brands promise
- Follow through to ensure that personal quality and productivity standards are consistently and accurately maintained
- Stay relevant and up to date with legislations and new developments
- Maintain a positive attitude and respond openly to feedback
- Handle stress in ways that do not negatively impact others
- Plan and manage own workflow anticipating obstacles juggling priorities and following through on objectives within agreed time frames and according to quality standards
