Product Manager: Shared Platform Services

**The Role**

In this role, you will work closely with the product lead for Entersekt's platform and tooling portfolio to develop and maintain platform features and shared services. The goal is to let our engineering teams focus on business logic while we take care of the rest. You will be responsible for defining and maintaining shared back-end components that run on our core platform, which will be used by feature teams to lay the foundation for their products. These services range from observability and monitoring tools to configuration management and shared communication channels.

You will collaborate with other product managers and engineering leads across Entersekt's product lines to define and prioritize the product stories to ensure that the solution effectively addresses internal and external user needs. The products you will be working on are technical in nature, and any experience you have in the day-to-day technologies used by the team will improve your ability to draft clear and detailed product requirements.

Entersekt is looking for a product manager who is passionate about boosting the productivity of feature teams by building shared back-end components, services and frameworks that can be re-used by these teams. You enjoy building resilient and efficient yet elegant services using modern approaches. While your focus will be server-side, you can still appreciate the requirements and complexities of front-end and other components that will interact with your services.

You are committed to Agile product development and take pride in articulating clear, achievable objectives for your teams, enabling them to build incremental value into our product offering. You enjoy addressing customer needs and verifying the impact of your solutions by gathering feedback during all phases of a project instead of developing products in an echo chamber.

You have a strong technical background, enabling you to clearly evaluate requirements and translate them into manageable units of work. You understand the processes and considerations of software development and respect the feedback from engineers and others in your team, helping you be pragmatic in your approach to problems.

**Responsibilities**
- Define and maintain product roadmaps for shared internal services, working closely with engineering and business stakeholders to understand their needs and timelines.
- Communicate product vision, progress, and results of these services to stakeholders across the organization to ensure adoption and awareness.
- Own the full set of documentation for your product, from knowledge-based articles and white papers to implementation guides and API specifications.
- Stay current with platform engineering industry trends and opportunities to ensure our workflows and products stay ahead of the curve.
- Gather and validate business requirements before turning them into technical implementations that can be picked up by your development teams.
- The following tasks, among others, will be your responsibility in our Agile environment:

- Backlog grooming: Work with Agile development teams to manage and prioritize a backlog of features and bugs, ensuring that engineering resources are allocated effectively.
- Sprint planning: Backlog items are elaborated into user stories for implementation before sprint planning. During the sprint planning meeting, you will be the main source for user story detail and priorities.
- Validation and feedback: You will validate that the delivered product meets user requirements and is true to the product vision. You use the feedback gathered to keep iterating on and improving our services to better suit the customer and company needs.

- Experience in product management, with a focus on back-end components.
