Shared Services It Infrastructure Manager

**Purpose of Role**:
As part of the Shared Services team, the Shared Service Infrastructure Manager is responsible for providing and maintaining a long-term information system architecture strategy for Shared Services technology & data infrastructure, as well as managing the operations, reporting, support, enhancements and projects relating to these systems. This role reports to the Shared Services IT Lead and works closely with 3rd part services providers, Applications Manager, and entity IT representatives

There is potential for this role to also include the responsibilities of IT Lead (detailed below) and report directly to the Head of Shared Services

**Objectives of Role**:
As the Shared Services Infrastructure Manager, you will be responsible for the operations, administration, monitoring and reporting of the following key components of the AGGPA technical infrastructure
- Networks: LAN, WAN, Internet, Wifi, Security
- Hosting, Data Centre and Storage
- Cloud service management and security
- Microsoft and Google Enterprise domains
- End-User device management, printing, access, office admin, licensing

- Provide input into and ensure the implementation and ongoing alignment to the Shared services Information Systems Infrastructure Strategy, including architectural and security principles, frameworks and standards
- Design and execute short
- and long-term strategic plans to assure infrastructure capacity attains current and future needs.
- Develop, execute and oversee procedures, policies and related training plans for infrastructure services
- Manage and establish priorities for maintenance, design, development, and analysis of infrastructure architecture and services
- Conduct research and recommend changes in services, products, protocols and standards to support development efforts and infrastructure procurement.
- Supervise, direct and utilise knowledge on best practices in areas related to infrastructure architecture and services
- Define and manage IT Disaster Recovery Strategy for organisation.
- Implement software and hardware standards in collaboration with stakeholders and owners.
- Test infrastructure performance and provide regular reports on infrastructure performance, capacity and risks
- Ensure apt security levels on network, infrastructure, desktop and servers environments are maintained.
- Oversee operational costs, conduct near along with long-term financial estimates for expanded functionality and user base.
- Direct and administer network service providers to ensure service delivery and provide leadership and direction.
- Ensure to practice IT asset management, including component inventory maintenance and associated documentation.
- Negotiate with outsourcers, vendors and contractors for infrastructure-specific products and services secure.
- Perform feasibility studies for different upgrade projects, conversions and improvements.
- Manage the Information Systems service providers by supporting a high workload, being hands-on with high problem-solving abilities.
- Manage Information System Projects, including the project initiation, organising meetings, creating project charters and plans with risks, assumptions, dependencies, providing project status updates, updating project schedules, obtaining sign-off on project deliverables, project closeouts and debriefs.
- Govern the design, enablement and delivery of the core technical infrastructure
- Govern the procurement, innovation, evolution and maintenance of Information Systems infrastructure through the involvement of relevant stakeholders.
- Accountable for incident, problem, service request and change management relating to infrastructure services

**IT Lead Responsibilities**:
The shared Service IT Lead is responsible for building and managing the Shared Services IT function. This includes responsibility for the performance of the IT team and the service it provides to its customers, and responsibility for devising an agreed strategy and long-term plan for the function.

- Work closely with the relevant stakeholders to set expectations and provide services exceeding the agreed standard.
- Contribute to customer satisfaction for services delivered by the Shared Services Finance Team.
- Assist with identifying problems in your area of responsibility, and that of the Shared Services team, and discussing possible solutions to achieve customer excellence

**Experience and Qualifications**:

- Relevant Technology qualification (preferably post-graduate level)
- 6-8 years technical experience
