**Technical Manager**

**Purpose**

As a Technical Manager, you will be a key contributor to our design and construction team, responsible for translating conceptual ideas into detailed technical drawings and plans. Your expertise and experience in drafting and design will be essential in ensuring the accurate and precise execution of projects within the interior design or architectural field.

**Responsibilities**

Technical Drawing and Design:

- Create detailed architectural and interior design drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details.
- Use CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) and other drafting tools to produce accurate and clear drawings.
- Collaborate closely with architects, designers, and engineers to understand project requirements and incorporate design changes.

Project Coordination:

- Assist in project coordination and ensure that drawings align with project timelines and specifications.
- Review and revise drawings as needed to meet evolving project needs and client preferences.

Quality Assurance:

- Implement quality control processes to verify the accuracy and completeness of drawings.
- Identify potential design issues or discrepancies and propose solutions.

Documentation and Records:

- Maintain organized and up-to-date drawing archives and project documentation.
- Keep records of revisions, changes, and design updates.

Team Collaboration:

- Mentor and provide guidance to junior draughtsmen, ensuring their growth and development.
- Collaborate effectively with architects, interior designers, engineers, and other team members.

Technology and Software:

- Stay updated on industry-standard CAD software and tools, adopting best practices for efficiency and accuracy.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to drafting software.

Compliance and Regulations:

- Ensure that drawings comply with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Stay informed about relevant building codes and incorporate them into design work.
- Engineering Trades: All affected building service trades: Aircon, Fire, Electrical, Heritage, Structural, Security and subsequently affected trades for example fire signage, access control and plumbing.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree or diploma in architecture, interior design, or a related field.
- Extensive experience (typically 5+ years) as a draughtsman, preferably in an architectural or interior design context.
- Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar programs.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in drafting.
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
- Familiarity with 3D modelling and rendering software is a plus.
- Your expertise in creating accurate and detailed technical drawings will contribute significantly to the successful realization of architectural and interior design projects. Your role is crucial in ensuring that design concepts are translated into actionable plans that guide construction and execution effectively
