Marine and Canal Administrator

Reporting to the Marina and Canal Manager, the Marina and Canal Administrator supports the effort of managing a world-class Harbour by managing and proactively maintaining the day-to-day operations and facilities of the Yacht Marina Basins and the Canal. Main responsibilities include operational management, maintenance, supervision, and control of the Yacht Marina and Canal, financial management and administration, stakeholder management, as well as marketing related to the Yacht Marina.

***Job Objectives**:
**Yacht Marina and Canal Supervision and Control**
- Issue sailing clearance certificate on confirmation of payment
- Appropriately allocate berths with PM approval
- Monitor changing rooms, laundry room, showers, Marina lounge and passages conduct annual store inventory
- Administer and enforce marine regulations to Marina and Canal tenants
- Proactively maintain mooring infrastructure and equipment
- Supervise marina teams
- Project manage contractors
- Assisting all marina tenants and visiting guests
- Proactively assist in the management of the Marina, Canal and Harbour over marine events, local and international ocean races
- Attend various meetings

**Marina Office Administration**
- Daily review of marina and canal activities, yacht and vessel movements, maintenance, lease expiry etc.
- Conduct daily register checking
- Maintain filing system of records of tenants, leases, accounts, correspondence, and events
- Prepare and submit monthly reports
- Facilitate offer and leases
- Enter and update tenant information on MRI and or other programs

**Financial Management**
- Manage budget according to departmental targets
- Issue invoices and manage debt/accounts receivable
- Manage and monitor cash deposits and Bank Guarantees
- Receipt and process credit card payment
- File receipt records
- Negotiate tariffs with tenants and service providers which must be approved by PM

**Stakeholder Management**
- Liaise and collaborate with various internal as well as external stakeholders
- Administer quality control and monitor the work undertaken by internal BU's as well as service providers (e.g. water in marina, bins on jetty’s etc.)
- Build and maintain good relationships with key stakeholders
- Daily interaction with tenants and casual mooring

**Yacht Marina Marketing**
- Contribute to the optimal use of the facilities
- Create awareness and promotes marina among cruising yachts
- Collaboratively market and encourages events in the marina with internal and external event organizers
- Communicate with Business (e.g. marketing, retail, operations, security) regarding events at marina and harbor

**Canal Management**
- Tenant and constituent liaison
- Canal Cleaning and supervision

**Educational Requirements**:

- National Diploma or other relevant qualification in a suitable Maritime field
- Local Water Skippers License preferable
- Driver’s License

- 5 years Administration or Management experience in a similar Marina / Canal / Marine environment
