An established packaging manufacturing company, is looking for an experienced Assistant Production Manager with strong leadership skills to support the Operations Manager in overseeing manufacturing operations, ensuring efficiency, and maintaining safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Production Management
- Assist in managing all manufacturing operations to ensure smooth and efficient production.
- Support the planning and execution of the production schedule to meet demand and forecasting requirements.
- Monitor and improve production efficiency, workflow, and quality control.
- Ensure only approved production specifications are followed.
- Assist with managing production yields per batch to optimize costs and reduce waste.

Quality & Safety Compliance
- Support adherence to Safety regulations.
- Ensure products are produced and packed to specifications, with traceability records completed.
- Report non-conforming raw materials and/or final products to relevant teams.

Procurement & Resource Management
- Assist with raw material and packaging procurement to meet production needs.
- Evaluate and monitor raw material quality to maintain product standards.
- Help manage and control stock counts.

Equipment & Maintenance Oversight
- Inform maintenance of any equipment breakdowns and track repairs.
- Assist in identifying and implementing improvements in equipment performance to boost efficiency.

Employee Management & Training
- Assist in leading, managing, and coaching production staff to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Provide training and guidance to employees as needed.
- Ensure staff adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Attend and contribute to management meetings.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a supervisory or assistant management role within a production/manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task, problem-solve, and work under pressure.
- Experience with resource planning, production scheduling, and procurement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office especially **Excel**.
