**Warehouse/ Distribution Supervisor - FMCG Industry**

In line with the company’s Employment Equity objectives, preference will be given to people from designated groups.

**Minimum requirements**:
1. Matric/ Gr 12/ NQF Level 4 from a recognized institution
2. Experience in a medium sized company preferred.
3. Previous supervising experience in FMCG warehousing/distribution and sound knowledge of inventory management (minimum 5 years).
4. Relevant warehousing and logistics qualification -advantage

**Skills & competencies required**:
1. Good communication skills.
2. Good analytical skills.
3. Excellent attention to detail.
4. Good management & leadership skills.
5. Working knowledge of MS Office products.
6. Knowledge of labour laws (BCEA and health/safety)

**The main tasks & duties associated with the position are as follows**:

- Purchase planning (for seed, organic/garden friendly chemicals, allied gardening product) - working from a sales forecast, turning it into a material requirements plan
- Formulating material requirements plan, working from a sales forecast
- Manage inventory of purchased goods (the company distribute goods manufactured elsewhere), including, but not limited to: o Prepare the purchase orders for stock o Receiving o Stock takes o Monitoring the inventory levels o Warehouse/storage/shelf planning
- Plan production (including capacity planning) for seed packets and organics (e.g. the filling that needs to take place).
- Communicate with the sales & marketing department.
- Oversee the distribution (e.g. sending stock with couriers).
- Manage the Warehouse staff.
- Implement quality management.

**Salary**: R15,000.00 - R25,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Johannesburg North, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
