Tsebo Facilities Solution is looking for an Artisan Aid Plumbing To provide technical support with regard to reactive maintenance and planned preventative maintenance on plant and equipment, within the service level requirements. A Plumbing Assistant provides essential support to licensed plumbers and assists in various plumbing tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of plumbing projects and services. This role involves working closely with the plumbing team to handle installations, repairs, maintenance, and other plumbing-related activities.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:
Assist Licensed Plumber - Work alongside licensed plumbers to provide assistance in carrying out plumbing tasks and projects. Follow instructions and guidance from senior plumbing staff.

Installation and Repairs - Help with the installation of plumbing systems, fixtures, and appliances. Assist in diagnosing and repairing plumbing issues and leaks under the supervision of experienced plumbers

Pipe Cutting and Preperation - Prepare pipes and tubing by cutting and threading as required for specific plumbing projects. Ensure proper measurements and accuracy.

Plumbing Tools and Equipment - Assist in setting up and handling plumbing tools and equipment. Keep tools organized and maintained for efficiency and safety.

Material Handling - Transport plumbing materials, supplies, and equipment to the worksite. Ensure proper inventory management and report any shortages or discrepancies.

Site Preparation - Prepare work areas for plumbing tasks, including clearing debris, ensuring safety, and protecting surfaces and surroundings from potential damage.

Plumbing System Inspection - Assist in conducting inspections of plumbing systems to identify potential issues and areas that require maintenance or repair.

Plumbing System Maintenance - Support routine maintenance activities on plumbing systems, including cleaning drains, replacing worn-out parts, and lubricating components.

Safety Compliance - Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations at all times, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and the team.

Customer Interaction - Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with clients. Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and escalate complex issues to senior plumbers.

Documentation - Accurately record work performed, materials used, and any relevant information for project documentation and future reference.

On-the-Job Training - Participate in training opportunities provided by senior plumbers to enhance knowledge and skills in the plumbing trade.

Housekeeping - Cleaning of all offices and workshops

Transport - Transportation of fellow employees

- Adhere to the TFS’s Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) Management System’s Policies & Procedures of as applicable to this position.

**Skills and Competencies**:

- Good knowledge of plumbing fixtures, fittings, repairs and maintenance thereof
- Knowledge of tools and materials used in the assigned area of responsibility
- Understand and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to plan, organise and control own work effort
- Good people skills
- Excellent customer relation skills
- Previous experience in plumbing or a related field is a plus
- Basic understanding of plumbing tools, equipment, and materials.
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects and work in confined spaces.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work well within a team.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions effectively.

**Qualifications**:

- Grade 12
- Or N2 in Civil Engineering
