**Requirements**:

- Trade Test Construction Plumbing Certificate
- NTC 3 Trade Theory will be an added advantage
- 3-5 years post apprenticeship experience in Water & Sanitation

environment
- Computer literacy
- Valid Code 8 B/EB driver’s license
- Sound knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act,

- Availability and willingness to work in all weather conditions,

work outside normal working hours during
- emergencies and planned overtime / standby duties
- Physically fit and able-bodied

Key Performance Areas
- Fault finding and analysing of plumbing repairs and

servicing thereof
- Repairing and constructing of domestic and industrial mains
- Measuring; developments and sketching of structures, pipe

sections; adaptors and associated components as well as
interpret drawings.
- Manage workflow via SAP and preparing of Bill of Materials

(BOM)
- Ensure compliance to OHSACT requirements and related

safety controls such as work permits, lock out procedures, etc.
- Supervising junior staff in performance and execution of work

assigned to them to ensure work is done timeously and correctly.
- Identifying staff skills gap and activate training needs aimed at

closing the gaps and capacitating individuals.
- Addressing workplace conflict / misconduct.
