**THE JOB AT A GLANCE**
The Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for providing executive advisory / support to the Board, CEO and Exco on strategic financial matters. The incumbent will be responsible overseeing the strategic and day to day operations of the finance, memberships, actuarial, and facilities departments.
**WHAT WILL YOU DO?**
**Key stakeholder relationship management**
- Provide executive advisory / support to the Board, CEO and Exco on strategic financial matters.
- Actively engage stakeholders with the objective of positively influencing the business objectives of RMA.
- Stakeholder management for Audit Committee, Investment Committee and Board.
- Manage the relationships with the FSB, the Compensation Fund, SARS and other regulatory bodies.
- Liaise with external and internal auditors and acts as a key point of contact for audit work.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of the strategic vision of RMA.
- Liaise with all asset managers on investments and investment strategy mandates.
**Financial reporting**
- Oversee financial administration and reporting according to best practice, within given mandate / governance and according to accounting principles
- Manage monthly accounts by conducting forecasts, annual budgets and strategic plan forecasts
- Oversee the production of the annual integrated report.
- Ensure effective and efficient delivery of management and board reports / circulars.
**Business Optimisation and Regulatory Compliance**
- Maintain short
- and long-term funding requirements at business efficient levels
- Cash flow management, maximise and improve cash performance statistics
- Management of investments.
- Manage and minimize financial risks proactively and effectively
- BEE and Transformation management (scorecard management, gathering information, BEE reporting).
**People management and leadership**
- Oversee the Group Finance, Facilities and Procurement Departments
- People management, development, motivation and retention for areas of responsibility
- Foster a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and commitment to quality.
- End-to-end facilities management.

**WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE?**
**Minimum Qualification**
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (SA)
**Minimum Experience**
- 10 years’ experience at CFO level
- Experience in mergers and acquisitions preferred
- Experience in dealing with and presenting to analysts and shareholders
- Corporate Finance experience (valuations, disposals)
- Experience with capital management
**Knowledge and Skills required**
- Knowledge of applicable regulatory and compliance Acts including COIDA, Companies Act, VAT Act, Income Tax Act, BBBEE, POPI, SAM and King IV
- Knowledge of insurance acts (long and short term)
- Knowledge of IFRS17
