To effectively manage and oversee all operational activities during the shift to ensure inventory accuracy, timely stock investigations, and smooth supply chain processes within the Distribution Centre (DC). The role ensures service level agreements (SLAs) are met through accurate stock location and quantities, improved operational efficiency, and compliance with health and safety standards while developing the operational team's performance.

**This position reports to the Shift Manager.**

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Dispatch KPI's - Customer orders to be placed on milkruns as per KPI's
- Cost control - manage labour / heads on shift vs volumes and hours
- Housekeeping - manage the team to ensure they keep area's within standards
- Goals - ensure that each individual has a clear understanding of their goals
- Review internal processes and continue to iterate and innovate to improve department continuously

- Preferred experience in:
- E-commerce experience
- ERP systems knowledge
- Experience in working with budgets and cost analysis
- LEAN or continuous improvement
- Performance management skills - knowledge of Industrial Relations and practices

**Qualifications**:

- Grade 12 - National Senior Certificate
- Supply Chain or Logistics higher certificate is preferred.
- 3-5 years Supervisory experience in logistics or distribution environment
- People management experience, good oral and written communication skills
- Decision making and problem solving ability
- Ability to manage change within a logistics operation
- Will commit and achieve targets and project timelines.
- Willing to work shifts, including weekends if necessary, in an operational 7/365 environment
- Self-starter with high energy levels a must
