**Purpose of the role**

We are looking for a results-driven Business Unit Coordinator to assist in managing the various business units within our firm and maintain a positive

image of Business both internally and externally. The Business Unit coordinator must monitor, measure, and assist in analyzing the effectiveness

of marketing initiatives as they relate to the overall company's goals, collaboratively working with the marketing budget and ensuring that the objectives are met.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Business Unit Marketing
- To work with the various business units to determine and implement their specific annual marketing requirements, whilst working closely with the Marketing Manager and Head of Marketing.
- Set specific budgets for each of the required marketing activities.
- Collaborate with other marketing team members to develop go-to-market plans.
- Project management of the marketing / project plans and implementation of relevant elements within that plan, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Proactively take a holistic view of all projects by providing research, event management and strategic planning.
- Event Management
- Coordinate and implement the firm’s client events, from conception through to completion.
- Coordinate all operational aspects of our client events including; Sourcing venues, the invitation process, décor, transportation and managing of suppliers.
- Promoting the event on internal and external social media channels
- Leverage our current sponsorships and embed these opportunities into our event planning;
- Work closely with our PR team to promote and publicise the event
- Conduct pre
- and post - event evaluations and report on outcomes.
- Firm Research and Submissions
- Assist in putting together detailed submissions to ensure the firm is ranked in the top global legal directories and listings these include Chambers Global, Legal 500 and MIP, to name a few.
- Keep accurate records on clients at all times - to update on a daily basis
- Communications
- Advise, support and guide the business on relevant messaging for marketing materials
- Maintain branding standards of all internal communications.
- Proactively working with the businesses to keep communication channels open and deliver value
- Positioning and Reporting
- Draft weekly and monthly reports on behalf of Head of Marketing
- Build brand awareness in the South African and Chinese market.
- Understand Law and service marketing.
- Provide input regarding strategic planning and prioritisation on behalf of the Head of Marketing and Marketing Committee

**Skills and Knowledge**
- 3 - 5 yrs relevant marketing experience preferably in a law environment
- Event Management Experience essential
- MS Outlook, Word, Power Point and Excel (Advanced)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills - there is a heavy amount of writing and presenting in this role.
- Experience handling marketing budgets and forecasting / reporting results
- Ability to work in a multi-task and multi-deadline environment
- Excellent organisational prioritisation, and client service skills
- Able to work independently and be self-motivated
- Enthusiastic and energetic
- Can-do attitude

**Qualifications and Experience**

Matric / Grade 12

A relevant tertiary qualification in Marketing

Previous work experience within a legal firm will be an added advantage
