**What are we looking for?**
We are looking for someone with the following experience, qualifications and /or skillsets:

- Have at least** five years of teaching experience in managing and teaching Geography up to grade 12**.
- Have a relevant degree.
- Have an interest, knowledge, and experience in using modern teaching methodology in a technology-rich environment.
- Have an in-depth understanding of the assessment and teaching of Geography.
- Must be very proficient in English as well as Afrikaans.
- Must be a good team player.
- Must be a self-starter with an excellent work ethic.
- **A clear ctiminal record.**

**The responsibilities are**:

- A Leadership, development, and training
- Mentor Subject Heads and Geography teachers to support effective curriculum management, for the improvement of teaching, learning and assessment of Geography in our Curro Schools.
- Facilitate the target-setting processes and school meetings.
- Facilitate training and development opportunities for teachers, in a collaborative space, based on the needs of the organisation and findings of the analysis of data.
- Keep abreast of innovations in education (national & international) reading and attending conferences and training.
- Management of people and processes accountable to the Head of Curriculum to ensure clear communication and consistency by:

- Identifying people or processes that need support and training
- Engage with all the Heads of High School regarding the Academic Improvement Plans for Geography and assist where necessary.
- Assist school management team members with the reviewing of their actions and interventions in their academic improvement plans.
- Monitoring the implementation of the Curro academic policies and supporting documentation.
- Compliance Accountable to the Head of Curriculum in supporting schools with compliance to the IEB, and UMALUSI.
