Our client is a leading Independent Power Producer (IPP) with over two decades of experience in developing and operating renewable energy projects. Backed by UK investors, the company is a pioneer in various generation technologies, including gas, wind, solar PV, battery energy storage (BESS), and geothermal. The company is also driving new opportunities emerging from the energy transition, such as desalination projects powered by renewables and innovative green hydrogen and ammonia projects. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Head of Finance will be responsible for the financial leadership of the organization, overseeing all aspects of financial management, planning, reporting, and compliance. You will lead a high-performing team of 10 finance professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement. Position Position: Head of Finance Location Location: Cape Town Qualifications Qualifications: CA(SA) – not negotiable; Big 4 articles; 5 years experience in senior leadership role; Renewable Energy experience (highly beneficial). Salary & Benefits Salary: R1.9 million (Medical Aid and Provident Fund included) + performance bonus. Skills IFRS reporting Tax Compliance Financial Modelling Responsibilities Manages and oversees the annual budgeting process. Manages the insurance portfolio. Develops, improves and implements accounting policies, procedures and systems. Leads, directs and manages the finance team.
