An authorised financial service provider, operating within the long-term insurance industry in South Africa, requires the services of a **Collection Agent**.

**This is a 12-month fixed term contract.**

**Tasks and responsibilities will include but not be limited to**

**Key Responsibilities**:

Debit Order and Stop Order Processing:

- Accurately process cancellations and amendments of existing debit orders and stop orders received via the workbench
- Capture new debit order and stop order instructions with precision.
- Process client requests and policy administration submissions via the workbench.
- Assist in monthly reporting and identification of unpaid policies, ensuring compliance with SLAs.
- Provide timely feedback to clients, maintaining a client-centric approach.

Payment Identification and Allocation:

- Check various deposit accounts for cash group payments.
- Handle queries related to cash group deposits.
- Process daily transfer requests, ensuring accuracy verified with the unsolved payments report.
- Address queries concerning debit orders, stop orders, and payment history.
- Provide prompt feedback to clients (internal and external) within SLAs.
- Accurately calculate refund values, presenting them for team leader approval.
- Record payment allocations accurately.
- Report discrepancies and collaborate with clients and relevant departments.

**Experience & Knowledge required**:

- Minimum 2 years of experience as a collection’s agent.
- Experience in Funeral Insurance Industry will be advantageous.
- Client Service experience
- Financial Acumen: Solid understanding of financial transactions, including debit orders, stop orders, and payment processing.
