**_ Position Purpose:_**
- To develop, champion, monitor and support implementation of business re-engineering programs and best practices across

the operational and support functions across Transnet.
- Enable optimal performance, drive operational excellence and benefit realisation in support of the Transnet’s digital strategy.

This will include engagement with stakeholders across the Transnet operational divisions and strategy alignment.
**_ Position outputs:_**
- Drive implementation of business process re-engineering strategy and frameworks to ensure business improvement and

operational efficiencies.
- Drive tactical business strategy and technology/business process enablement within Transnet operational divisions.
- Develop best practices for business process re-engineering management team and operational models to drive value

across Transnet.
- Provide development of a tactical strategy, and develop and implement a supporting operational strategy with

re-engineering practices.
- Display and encourage an appreciation of teamwork and inclusivity and develop encourage and nurture collaborative

relationships across area of specialisation.
- Embedment of a business re-engineering culture through implementation of standard work and best practices.
- Ensure the development and implementation of multiple practises in alignment with operational business frameworks.
- Direct, control, coordinate and optimise budgeted resources for various strategic programs.
- Align systems, processes, people and measures to ensure effective implementation of technology/process projects overall

business unit alignment.
- Utilise established lean management practises together with process experience to craft improved solutions with tangible

benefits and work across functionality whilst influencing to gain consensus and commitment within teams in delivering
- practical solutions.
- Create an instrumental design process with appropriate delivery methods and post training evaluations.
- Identify and implement key initiatives that will improve key performance indicators within Transnet.
- Provide coaching and mentoring for business re-engineering managers and/or project leads on business re-engineering

methodology during projects.
- Drive and facilitate business improvement workshops and monitor project implementation and benefits realisation.
- Drive business improvement project initiatives across the operating divisions and process re-engineering principles to

improve efficiencies.
- Drive robotic process automation opportunities and enhancements to implement process automation.
- Manage the development of project business cases, costing, project sizing and capacity resourcing.
- Drive innovation ideas into project initiatives across the operational divisions through agile methodology.
- Knowledgeable and experience in business intelligence warehousing and capabilities of data management.

**_Qualifications & Experience:_**
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering/relevant Engineering
- Master’s degree will be an advantage
- A minimum of 10 - 15 working experience of which 5 years in business re-engineering at senior management level
- Seasonal professional experienced in managing and leading a team
- Proven record of leading successful projects.
- Understanding of core business processes and associated solutions
- Experience in project management and in leading major initiatives in an organisation
- Requirement of trust and honesty in the handling of finances as per the National Credit Act Amendment 19
