Position Description:
We're looking for a **Head of Engineering: Customer** to be part of our Customer & Insights team to build a strong team of engineers that will operate within the Customer Domain (Financial Services, Stores & Loyalty).

**The Key Performance Areas of this role will be as follows**:

- Lead engineering strategy for customer technology platforms, partnerships and other external relationships
- Provide engineering leadership in solutioning and design customer systems
- Define the way engineering gets done within customer function.
- Guide the selection and implementation of development methodologies, collaboration tools, code, and documentation standards, source control usage, and code review guidelines, etc.
- Responsible for feature deployment and stability of customer platforms
- Responsible for revisiting our foundational PoS design, re-architecting FS data chains and integration and developing a holistic cloud and open standard strategy.
- Ensure that all customer platforms are built in a scalable and stable manner, taking advantage of new integration patterns and enabling the future platform business.
- Negotiate cost-effective contracts for TFG. Coordinate and implement contractors’ work, and resolve any disputes over labour, scheduling, or payments.
- Recruit, interview, hire and train engineering team members. Oversee the strategic and tactical workflow of the customer engineering team. Accountable for internal SLAs

**Requirements**:

- Must have a relevant 4-year degree or equivalent in working experience
- Data Engineering certification or experience
- 7 years experience building enterprise software and consumer-facing products. Deep expertise in back-end and front-end development
- 7 years experience in project delivery and people management
- 5 years data management, data analysis, query processing, distributed processing, high availability, and operational excellence of production systems
- 7 years full stack architecture expertise familiar with.NET, ASP.NET, C#, JavaScript, Angular, HTML5, RDBMs with exposure to Xamarin, React and Python.
- DevOps implementation experience, and knowledge of cloud technologies / Kubernetes / Docker-based development
- Experience working with REST API’s, code packages, deployment tools
