**REQUIREMENTS**
- Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Transportation or Logistics and Warehousing.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in fleet or logistics management.
- Familiarity with South African road and traffic laws.
- Proficiency in fleet management software.
- Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Proven experience as a Fleet & Logistics Manager in the construction industry.

**KEY PERFOMANCE AREAS**
- Ensure vehicles have valid licenses, permits and insurance coverage.
- Manage all documentation related to AARTO, including processing fines, implementing driver deductions, and issuing warnings in accordance with regulatory and company policies.
- Investigate and report vehicle accidents or incidents.
- Manage fleet maintenance and image through implementing service plans to ensure vehicles are serviced on time, booked for COF's in a timely manner and refurbished as and when required.
- Manage fleet budget and reduce operational costs.
- Negotiate with suppliers and vendors for vehicle parts, services and fuel contracts.
- Track and analyze fleet performance to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Oversee fuel and toll usage, ensuring accurate tracking, management, and reporting to optimize cost efficiency and operational transparency.
- Monitor and optimize tyre performance and efficiency, ensuring proper maintenance, usage, and cost-effectiveness to support overall fleet operations.
- Utilize and ensure correct usage of internal systems and communication tools for operational efficiency.
- Track and improve KPI performance, enhancing fleet effectiveness.
- Promote customer-centric service, meeting customer requirements and quality standards.
- Proactively identify and communicate risks or weaknesses in fleet performance.
- Uphold company policies, safety standards, and legislative requirements.
- Schedule driver shifts and assign routes
- Evaluate driver performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Conduct debriefings of all trips with drivers to review trip performance, address any issues encountered, and ensure proper documentation of trip details.
- Recruit, train and manage drivers and fleet staff.
- Motivate, guide, counsel, and discipline staff as needed to maintain high performance standards, foster teamwork, and address any performance or behavioral issues in alignment with company policies.
