**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- **Business Planning & Initiatives**
***
- **Monitoring financial performance and asset costs**
***:

- **Supporting the implementation and anchoring of fleet initiatives through regional engagement, business plan review, reporting against business plan progress, statutory reporting, attendance and participation at stakeholder meetings and team meetings, leading the development and updating of fleet policies, practices, and procedures.**

- **Fleet Management**

- **Making certain that optimal Fleet Management system is functioning.**
***:

- **Making certain that optimal Fleet Management processes, practices, and policies.**
***:

- **Monitoring market conditions and develop and implement appropriate initiatives to ensure optimisation of fleet management.**
***
- **Fleet Replacement**
***
- **Evaluating cost effectiveness of proposed fleet acquisitions and ensure compliance with relevant specifications and legal compliance.**
***:

- **Researching and developing specifications and guidelines for new fleet acquisitions.**
***
- **Fleet Maintenance***
- **Supporting regions with the management of the outsourced repair and maintenance contracts.**
***:

- **Developing and monitoring preventative maintenance procedures.**
***:

- **Ensuring availability of safe, efficient and cost-effective vehicles and equipment.**
***:

- **Allocating resources to maintain and repair fleet as required**
***
- **Contract Management***
- **Engaging stakeholders in vehicle design and management, and procurement planning.**
***:

- **Providing feedback to the business on contractor performance**
***:

- **Monitoring performance of key contractors through SLA’s, KPI's and customer feedback.**
***
- **Operational Support***
- **Engaging with key stakeholders to identify fleet issues and drive improvement.**
***:

- **Researching, reviewing, and analysing information through fleet industry resources to identify service providers’ available products and services, to ensure the most value to our business.**
***:

- **Managing processes and practices for fuelling, maintenance assistance, and vehicle accidents to keep costs down, retain higher remarket values and increase vehicle uptime.**
***:

- **Reviewing and managing Fleet Audit process.**
***
- **Lead team effectively***
- **Effectively manage team and individual performance and development.**
***:

- **Managing fleet maturity and assessments**
***:

- **Providing on-the-job training, coaching and support.**
***

**Qualification and Experience**
- **B Comm. Degree or equivalent recognised qualification in Logistics / Fleet.**
***:

- **10 - 15 years Logistics experience.**
***:

- **5 years management experience.**
***:

- **Advanced knowledge and understanding of FMCG logistics and fleet systems and processes.**
***

**Knowledge & Skills**:
***
- **Distribution and fleet management, processes, and performance measures**
***:

- **Warehouse management, processes, and performance measures**
***:

- **OPEX Budget setting and management**
***:

- **CAPEX Budget setting and management**
***:

- **Project management and change management**
***:

- **Application of knowledge areas, especially in Fleet**
***:

- **Sound management of employee relations and the creation of a healthy IR climate**
***
