Manager Export Facilitation

Duties
- Enabling economic development that is focused on creating sustainable jobs by facilitating delivery of key national and provincial programmes of action.
- Strategically positioning the province into a globally competitive city region.
- Facilitating partnerships and creating linkages across the province to maximise service delivery outcomes.
- Supporting the development of Key Sectors of the economy in line with the economic development and industrial strategies of the province by carrying out:
- Business enablement
- Establishment of capital projects
- Land development
- Trade and investment promotion
THE SUCCESSFUL INCUMBENT WILL BE REPORTING TO THE SENIOR MANAGER:
EXPORT AND TRADE DEVELOPMENT AND WILL BE EXPECTED TO EXECUTE THE FOLLOWING TASKS:
**Exporters Network and Development**
- Develop and implement a communications campaign with partner organisations
- Establish a platform for export awareness sessions
- Establish and oversee the operations of the exporters network as a delivery mechanism to help companies more along the export continuum i.e.
- Export awareness
- Export readiness assessments and training
- Export preparations
- Export market development and activity
- Identify training opportunities
- Recruit participants to the exporter's network
- Engage companies impacting on exporting
**Export and Trade Events**
- Host events which profile exporters and export opportunities
- Outline export markets
- Share information on exporting
- Introduce buyers to export oriented companies
- Develop and sustain stakeholder relations
**Exporter Profiles**
- Maintain and expand the number and variety of exporters in Gauteng
- Profile companies working with on the Trade Portal and others promotional materials
**Trade Missions**
- Develop and implement the annual trade missions calendar (Sector specific and multi sector missions)
- Leverage off established relations with Chambers, the DTI, Embassies, Export Councils, and other industry associations
- Identify new markets for exports, including major trade shows
- Direct trade facilitation to relevant companies in Gauteng
- Contribute to Strategy formulation
- Contribute to strategy formulation sessions
- Implement the operational plan
**Contribute to APP targets**
- Give input in development of budget and business plans
- To work closely with Agancy representatives in foreign countries to identify opportunities for Gauteng companies and in arranging promotional events
- Work closely with Export Councils based in Gauteng
- Present to business and foreign stakeholders, including incoming delegations
- Ensure compliance to the PFMA, Companies Act and other applicable laws, regulations and Best Practice and Codes of Conduct
- Comply with organisations reporting requirements.
- Produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports and Give input into the annual report
- Develop logs and scheduled engagements with database clients
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS**:
- Relevant B Degree
- Minimum 5 years experience in similar environment, trade office or business development
- Project Management
