**Hours**:Full time 40 hours

**Job Purpose**

The Finance Assistant will support our day-to-day transactions, including expenses and payroll. The Finance Assistant responsibilities include processing payments, maintaining cost reports and managing invoices. The Finance Assistant will have an accounting background and knowledge and experience in procedures like tax management and budget preparation. Responsibilities will include monitoring and maintaining the company’s financial performance and managing resource efficiency

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**

Includes but not limited to:

- Processing and preparing financial statements
- Overseeing client accounts
- Collecting and reviewing data for reports
- Reviewing and performing audits on financial statements and reports
- Reporting discrepancies
- Preparing salary payment schedules and payroll processing for employees, and keeping detailed and well organized payroll records
- Suggesting improvements in accuracy, efficiency, and reducing costs
- Tracking and reconciling bank statements
- Creating cost analysis reports (fixed and variable costs)
- Processing tax payments
- Processing invoices and follow up with clients, suppliers and partners as needed
- Participate in quarterly and annual audits

**Requirements**:
**Education Required**
- Matric
- Bachelors’ degree in Accounting and Finance

**Experience Required**
- 2+ years work experience as a Finance Assistant, Finance Clerk or similar role
- Experience with accounting and bookkeeping procedures
- Attention to detail, with an ability to spot numerical errors

**Skills required**:

- Advanced MS Excel skills (creating spreadsheets and using financial functions)
- Accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks) and payroll software systems
- Strong analytical skills
- Organizational and time-management skills
