- Culinary training, certification, or relevant experience preferred.
- Good knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, and food safety practices.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude.
- **Must be eligible to work in South Africa and provide valid work authorization.**:

- **Must have reliable transportation and be able to commute to the hotel daily.**:

- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, hotel standards, and guest preferences.
- Ensure all dishes are presented neatly, consistently, and on time.
- Assist in preparing mise en place for service and banquets.
- Follow instructions from senior chefs and support smooth kitchen workflow.
- Maintain proper portion control to minimize waste.
- Report shortages of ingredients or equipment promptly.
- Ensure all food handling, preparation, and storage is in line with HACCP and hotel hygiene standards.
- Keep workstations, utensils, and equipment clean and sanitized at all times.
- Follow safe working practices to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Support in receiving and storing deliveries.
- Handle special dietary requests with care and accuracy.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Sous Chef or Head Chef.
