Previous experience as a Kitchen Steward, Dishwasher, or Cleaner preferred but not required (training will be provided).
- Knowledge of safe handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment is an advantage.
- Physically fit to handle standing for long periods, lifting, and manual tasks.
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to work under pressure.
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

- **Must have reliable transportation and be able to commute to the hotel daily.**:
- Wash and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including floors, counters, and storage areas.
- Operate dishwashing machines and ensure correct use of cleaning chemicals.
- Assist chefs and cooks with basic food preparation tasks when required (e.g., peeling, chopping).
- Ensure kitchen equipment is stored properly and in good working condition.
- Support in receiving, storing, and organizing deliveries.
- Dispose of kitchen waste according to hotel procedures and recycling guidelines.
- Follow hotel and HACCP food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
- Report any maintenance or safety issues to supervisors immediately.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishment as needed.
- Participate in regular deep-cleaning schedules.
- Perform any additional tasks assigned by the Stewarding Supervisor, Sous Chef, or Head Chef.
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Somerset West, Western Cape 7130: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
**Education**:
- High School (matric) (preferred)
