**Site Foreman**

Description:
Vertical Logic seeks a foreman to oversee all vertical logic work on client production plant and to work closely with the client Liasson on site. This person must be quality and safety focused in their approach to all work on site and have had prior experience in construction work or working in a plant environment. The foreman must also be knowledgeable in basic safety practices.

Applicant must be willing to work weekends and public holidays.

**Duties**:

- Hold morning meetings with the teams and distribute site calls.
- Manage staff attendance on site and report deviations to HR.
- Manage equipment on site and perform regular inspections.
- Manage PPE levels and place necessary orders when required.
- Issue PPE in accordance with company procedure.
- Planning future calls / projects / jobs and ordering the required materials in advance.
- Follow up with material orders.
- Ensure daily SIO (Safety Incident Observations) are recorded and that team members contribute to the reporting process.
- Inspect quality of all site calls and only once approved, issue closure notice.
- Work hand in hand with our client and ensure their needs are met to their satisfaction.
- Complete site safety documentation.
- Compile and issue, or submit, permits for Vertical Logic teams in accordance with client requirements.
- Report any safety incidences on site to direct manager or safety manager.
- Attend to any site emergencies, including after hours.**Skills**:

- Background in construction. Experience to be noted on CV.
- Must be able to problem solve on their own and think outside of the box.
- Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (optional but beneficial)
- Incident Investigation (optional but beneficial)

Job Requirements:

- Have a drivers’ license.
- Read, write, and speak fluent English required. Afrikaans is beneficial.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Cape Town, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
