Our client, a global performance marketing agency with over two decades of presence in South Africa, is seeking a senior professional for the role of head of digital media within their specialist division. This individual will be tasked with developing and implementing best practices for digital media experiences, bridging the gap between strategy and execution. They will serve as the custodian of delivering optimal digital media experiences to clients, ensuring excellence in every aspect.
**Key responsibilities**:
Develop and deploy best practices for digital media experiences.
Implement a standard strategy and format for media plans execution within the group.
Translate strategy into media experiences for clients, championing excellence in digital media (Mx).
Work closely with data and strategy communities, creative and content stakeholders, and media owners to optimize and innovate end results.
Collaborate with audience architects to develop digital buying and planning strategies tailored to each client's unique portfolio.
Allocate budgets across channels based on audience and objectives.
Lead negotiations with relevant media partners.
Supervise campaigns to ensure they deliver on budget and client objectives.
**Requirements**:
Bachelor's or master's degree in business, marketing, or advertising (brand).
8-10 years of professional experience in a planning and implementation role within an accredited media agency.
Extensive experience in transitioning from traditional to digital media platforms, with a thorough understanding of the digital landscape.
Proven staff management experience, managing a team of 5-10 buyers and planners.
