Head of People Development

**Role Purpose**
Ensure the development and the successful implementation of a people development strategy for the Group in line with overall People & culture strategy and business strategy; design and monitor execution of key strategic processes: performance management, talent management, career planning, succession planning. Establish and shape together with the Chief people officer a culture of growth, leveraging programs, practices and a mature leadership culture.
Further develop and manage the Academy in line with short term and long-term business needs.
**Additional Requirements**
- Experience with the development of concepts and strategies in complex organizations (different functions, different locations, different products and customers).
- Strategic and operational experience (experience with implementation of strategic processes, preferably in manufacturing companies, food industry is a plus)
- Excellent Knowledge on modern and innovative ways to do performance management, talent management, development programs, learning
- Experience/exposure to learning platforms and on line learning
**Minimum Qualification**:Degree in social sciences or business
**Experience**
- At least 10 years’ experience in people/learning and development departments with project/leader roles
- Deep knowledge of south African context and exposure to international context is a plus
- Experience with entrepreneurial environment
- Exposure to transformation and change
**Salary**: Up to R850,000.00 per year
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Durban, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
