**Main Purpose of the Role**
The Key Accounts Manager manages a book of existing DSV Air & Sea customers, consisting of A and B level customers mostly. They are responsible for maintaining the customer relationship, as well as identifying and developing new, additional or extended business opportunities within the existing customer base. The KAM will develop and build relationships on strategic, tactical and operational levels both with the client and within their organization, and also within the various departments of DSV. Ensuring adequate/excellent service levels including investigating service failures and devising solutions is an integral part of the function. Includes functions such as Internal reporting, performance management reviews, general management reviews, ensure access to any DSV reports and/or reporting systems, maintain meeting minutes and records as well as distribution thereof, monitoring of client payment cycles and outstanding payments, monitoring client profitability, volumes, modes, overseeing and supporting Clint Operational Leads and/or On-site operators as and when needed.
**Job Related Requirements**
- Gr 12
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a direct Selling or Key Accounts / Customer Retention role within the forwarding and clearing industry.
- At least 5 years’ experience in an operational, sales or management role within the forwarding industry.

**Duties and Responsiblities**:
- Compile and present Performance Management Reviews detailing Transit analysis to various clients.
- Compile and present General Management Reviews including shipment stats, financial data and other relevant info such as QVA to certain clients.
- Compiling, monitoring and presenting customized client reports as may be required by the client.
- Ensuring the client is given access to any DSV reports/reporting systems
- Maintain meeting minutes and/or records & distribute.
- Report Lost Business.
- Report Under Threat business which includes:
- Alerting appropriate managers as to service failures, issues and/or trends.
- Following Under Threat Process as specified
- Report New/Extended Business
- Report QVA per client.
- Monitoring service levels for each mode (air, ocean, road, etc.) and department (exports, imports, logistics, etc.).
- Monitoring TDVs (Triple Deck Verifications) and Management Reviews
- Monitoring client relationship status
- Monitoring client’s payment cycles as well as outstanding payments in order to ensure compliance with payment terms and agreements.
- Monitoring credit notes
- Monitoring write-offs
- Monitoring client profitability to ensure clients remain viable.
- Monitoring volumes for all modes on imports & exports.
- Monitoring opportunities for new/extended business & QVA.
- To assist in compiling operational SOP where required in conjunction with implementation.
- To compile and assist with client Tenders.
- To assist in conducting customer surveys as may be required by other DSV departments or management.
- Compile and present any other reports as may be required by DSV management on a regular or ad hoc basis.
- Must attend training when setup by Manager
- Must attend weekly CRM meetings
- May be required to attend annual think tanks and other DSV training courses which may run over the course of up to ten days.
- Upon joining the company an ADE will be required to undergo Company Induction Training.
- ADE must attend training in line with Career Pathing as specified by their manager.
- May be required to attend other training as deemed necessary by manager.
