**Minimum Requirements**:

- At least 2 years Supervisory experience in the Freight Industry.
- Sound knowledge of loading and off-loading principles.
- Understanding of safe workplace practices
- Complete understanding of the optimum usage of productivity principles
- Administration and organisational skills
- Reliable, trustworthy and punctual
- Sound knowledge of the Greater Durban Metro
- Must be a team player and adapt to change easily
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills (Proficient in English & Afrikaans)
- Fully computer literate
- Minimum Matric

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Ensure all staff are at work and do roll call
- Ensure completion of daily checklists on the forklifts at the beginning of their shift
- Oversee all the loading of all the line haul vehicles (owned or sub contracted)
- Ensure optimum utilization of available line haul fleet
- Ensure only complete and correct shipments are loaded
- Ensure all shipments loaded has been manifested and scanned to final destination
- Ensure that agreed operational procedures are adhered to by all
- Ensure housekeeping of branch as per agreed standard
- Report to Operations Manager daily on all Ops related issues
- Liaise with sales daily with regards to any problems with their customers
- Maintain discipline in operations
- Ensure a complete handover from Day Shift Operations
- Do all required operational reports and distribute
- Ensure line haul drivers have all the necessary paperwork prior to departure
- Ensure clear communication with line haul drivers regarding exceptions
- Attend to staff related issues
- Send pre alerts to all destination locations
- Handle adhoc queries
- Double check sealing of line haul vehicles before departure
- Ensure line haul drivers are in good condition prior to departure

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From R1.00 per hour
